Imagine a world where YOUR art, can be picked up by any corporation and bought, without any credit or profits going to you. Where art you've worked long and hard will be put up for the biggest bidders? Well this is the horrible reality of the 'Orphaned Works Bill', which erases all ownership you may have had, and ever will have on your online art. This bill, if passed, will require you, the creator, to pay for ownership of something which should already be yours. This is something difficult for us artists, but for a large corporation, it is easy for them to scan through DA and buy a corporate mascot. Google has already announced that it plans to buy ownership to millions of images.
